Rohith Kaliyur Properties of Algae Block 3 Connection to A Look Back at the U.S. Department of Energy's Aquatic Species Program: Biodiesel from Algae by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory
This work served more as a starting point rather than a reference point for my current experimentation ideas. Due to its variety of experiments, there is much insight to be obtained from the publication. That being stated, this novel has no specific procedures that I am choosing to implement nor ideas that I am choosing to incorporate. Its all encompassing abundance of various experiments performed by various scientists on numerous cultures of algae make it an invaluable reference guide. However, it does no dive into the specifics of studying properties of algae. It focuses more on the application of these properties in global terms, specifically the bio-fuel industry. That is because this industry is currently the largest growing industry in correlation with algae. The only main reason I am staying away from this industry is because of its time-consuming nature, and its demand for a large budget to test out various options or plans. As of the moment I am completed with my experiment design process. I have a few experiments that could test for certain properties of algae. The experimentation process will begin in 1 week, and I feel it is necessary to rediscover some of the research aspects of algae, as well as dive into some critical learning of it.
